CCD images obtained by Antonio Cidadao on 2000 August 19 reveals a very dark 
segment in the NNTB.  This dark segment was located near 357 degrees System 2 
on that date and is very prominent (dark) in green and blue light.  We 
understand this segment has been seen in other images by other observers.

Observers should be alert to this feature for changes in morphology. Transit 
timings would be of great interest, and valuable in determining the rotation 
and drift rates at this latitude.  The dark segment should be visible 
visually, certainly in good seeing.
